Refund Policy
After sleeping on your mattress for a minimum of 21 nights, you can request a full refund at any point during your 365-night trial. We'll refund your complete purchase price to your original payment method within 3 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned mattress. There are no restocking fees, no processing charges, and no deductions of any kind.
Exchange Policy
Exchanges through our "Happy with National Mattress" program are available at any point during your 365-night trial. If you exchange, your trial continues from your original purchase date - it does not restart. After an exchange, a full refund remains available through night 365 if the new mattress isn't right either.
Up to two mattresses can be returned or exchanged per household.

No, you don't have to squeeze it back in the box. To keep your mattress clean and protected during pickup, please keep it in its original plastic sleeve. If that's been discarded, any mattress bag will do - just let our team know and we can help.
Please keep all manufacturer tags attached to the mattress. These help us quickly verify your specific model so we can process your refund faster. Our team will handle verification at pickup - no need to send photos or go through a pre-approval process.
Tip: We recommend using a mattress protector from day one. It keeps your mattress in great condition throughout your trial and beyond - and it's good practice for the life of any mattress.
Mattress Condition Requirements
Returned mattresses must be in donatable condition: clean and free of stains, rips, burns, mold, bodily fluids, or excessive wear. The mattress must be returned with its original packaging with labels and law tag must remain attached. We don't require photographic evidence or a pre-approval process - our pickup team verifies the condition when they arrive.
This isn't about finding reasons to deny your return. It's about making sure we collect the correct product and we can donate your mattress to someone who needs it.
Unopened Products
Changed your mind before opening? We offer a 100% refund on all unopened products within 365 days of delivery or pickup. Items must be in their original, sealed packaging with all product literature, tags, and warranty cards intact.
